The Radcliffe Camera, which stands in Radcliffe Square at the heart of the university area, is one of Oxford's most famous landmarks. It is now part of the University's Bodleian Library, and contains one of its most spectacular reading rooms. TEL's undergraduate readers' ticket was limited to the use of the Radcliffe Camera Library, where the main reference works for his subject were shelved.
The Bodleian, in addition to its wide-ranging collection of books by and about TEL, is also the custodian of a considerable holding of Lawrence papers. The main treasures of the collection include a copy of the 1926 edition of Seven Pillars of Wisdom, and the hand-written manuscript of that great book.
